Rigan Machado is an 8th degree Koral (Red/Black) belt and nephew of the legendary Grandmaster, Carlos Gracie, Sr. Master Rigan operates one of the most acclaimed and accomplished Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu schools in the U.S. At the Rigan Machado Academy, you'll learn directly from one of the sport's legends in a clean, safe and welcoming environment.

Ray Trammell, black belt under Master Rigan, has a great spirit about him. Working with him over the past fews years we here at Team Rigan can honestly say he's one of favorites! Serious yet kind, knowledgeable and accessible at the same time, Professor Trammell posseses many of the characteristics that Rigan looks for in his teachers. Trammell's leadership is evident in his work with the Detroit Police Deptartment where for over fifteen years he has served as a Tactical Operator and Instructor for their SWAT team; his training regiment includes tactical training, firearms training, and physical training. Yes we are very happy to have Ray part of the Rigan Machado family!
