The final four men from the UFC ’s inaugural attempt at a “real time” format of TUF are now in place after the remaining quartet of competitors took to the cage this past Friday night. Emerging with a victory in tow were Al Iaquinta and Vinc Pichel though the similarities stopped there where performances were concerned.

After a debut a week ago featuring sixteen live contests the Ultimate Fighter 15 was back last night with an episode full of highlights from the period since as well as the initial quarterfinal match-up. By all accounts the program was one of the finest in the series’ storied history, featuring an excellent mixture of drama, heartbreak, and MMA action. Things started out with the fighters’ reactions to moving into the house, celebrating with a handful of adult beverages before settling in for the night
TUF 15 Episode 1 Recap
The new season of The Ultimate Fighter begins on March 9 with sixteen live fights taking place on FX during a two-and-a-half hour broadcast. The format marks one of the many changes in how the show was broadcasted before on Spike TV, as each week there will also be live fights to determine who moves on in the tournament with a recap of training/in-house action also edited in. UFC bantamweight champ Dominick Cruz and #1 contender Urijah Faber will coach two teams of lightweights/welterweights.

Former title-contender Kenny Florian may have stepped foot inside the Octagon for the final time as a fighter after herniating a disc in his back a few months ago. The injury occurred while Florian was lifting weights to bulk back up after slimming down for a run at the featherweight title. Though the 35-year old has done little but rest since, according to Florian, he’s still experiencing pain/numbness whenever he attempts to do anything overly physical
