It looks like Vagner Rocha ’s knockout loss to Jonathan Brookins earlier this month at UFC on Fuel 1 was enough to convince the UFC ’s brass the 7-3 lightweight was no longer an asset to the organization, cutting him from the roster as a result. The defeat dropped his record inside the Octagon to 1-2, though in fairness to Rocha he made his debut against Donald Cerrone on short notice and went the distance

The UFC’s debut on FOX-owned Fuel TV appears poised to go off without a hitch after all twenty competitors set for action at tomorrow night’s event came in on weight meaning the show will take place as scheduled. UFC on Fuel: Sanchez vs. Ellenberger prelims start at 6:00 PM EST on Facebook with main card collisions firing up at 8:00 PM EST on Fuel TV.

This Wednesday, the UFC comes to the Omaha Civic Auditorium in Omaha, Nebraska for the first fight night card on Fuel TV. UFC on Fuel 1 features a potential contender fight between Diego “The Dream” Sanchez and Jake “The Juggernaut” Ellenberger , as well as a very tall heavyweight bout between Stefan “Skyscraper” Struve and Dave “Pee Wee” Herman .

Jonathan Brookins bound for battle with Vagner Rocha on Fuel TV
The upcoming UFC on FX 1 took a hit recently as former WEC champion Mike Brown has been forced out of his fight with Vagner Rocha with a knee injury. While Brown did undergo arthroscopic surgery on his left knee to remove damaged cartilage and loose bone chips, the injury won’t keep him out of action long and he is expected to resume training in two to three weeks.
