Chael Sonnen labels Vitor Belfort as “a chicken” and “a liar”
Vitor Belfort was knocked out of a main event meeting with Wanderlei Silva at UFC 147 due to a broken hand suffered in training. Several weeks removed from going under the knife to repair the issue, “The Phenom” headed back to the doctor to have the surgically-inserted pins pulled out of his hand

It looks like a rematch between rivals Vitor Belfort and Wanderlei Silva may not be a lock after all.
After numerous issues in the past on the scale it appears Anthony Johnson will finally bite the bullet and admit he’s a 205-pounder. According to Titan FC CEO Joe Kelly , “Rumble” will compete at light heavyweight in his next fight under the company’s banner

When UFC 148 rolls around in early July the headlining tilt between middleweight champion Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen will get the bulk of the public’s attention, but a far more significant moment than any single fight will also be taking place on the same card as iconic Mixed Martial Artist Tito Ortiz enters the Octagon for the final time as a competitor. Ortiz has spent his entire fifteen-year career under the UFC banner where he was a longtime title-holder and one of the company’s biggest draws. When the former “Huntington Beach Bad Boy” steps foot inside the infamous eight-sided cage he will also do so as a member of the UFC’s Hall of Fame

UFC middleweight Brian Stann is one of the numerous fighters on the organization’s roster sidelined at the moment with an injury. His affliction forced him out of a headlining bout with Hector Lombard at UFC on FOX 4 and, apparently, will keep him out of commission until mid-fall. Stann elaborated on his condition in an interview with Fuel TV during their coverage of UFC on FX 3 where he explained he’d suffered a “Grade 2 separation of his right AC joint” and would have to wait at least six weeks before fully resuming his training schedule
Hopefully Rich Franklin has kept his passport up-to-date, as “Ace” has signed to face Wanderlei Silva in the main event of UFC 147 where he’ll replace Vitor Belfort who injured his hand in training and was forced to pull out.
Countless fans, many of whom were Brazilian, were utterly disappointed when news surfaced over the weekend middleweight Vitor Belfort had withdrawn from a headlining fight against Wanderlei Silva in front of their countrymen at UFC 147 . One of the people left far from pleased with the development was none other than Silva himself who has had a longstanding rivalry with “The Phenom”. Silva recently spoke about the news in a conversation with TATAME where he blasted Belfort, questioning both his professionalism and courage.
There will be no rematch between Vitor Belfort and Wanderlei Silva after all, at least this summer, as Belfort has suffered a broken hand and is out of their main event meeting at UFC 147 .

It seems fans hoping Anthony Johnson might eventually make his way back to the UFC shouldn’t hold their breath after “Rumble” missed weight yet again for his first fight since being cut. The 28-year old came in at a ridiculous 194.25 pounds for his main event match-up against Dave Branch at Titan FC 22 (more than eight pounds above the middleweight limit). Interestingly enough, Branch also came in heavy at 189.25 pounds though Johnson still agreed to pay him a percentage of his purse to agree to a catch-weight fight.
